I wanted an adventure... and boy did I get one!!

Well!! The last few days have been CRAZY!! Not only did I make the longest drive of my life, but I ended up homeless in Anchorage! Haha. I had made arrangements to live in a place here, but it didn't end up working out for various reasons. I have been trying to find an apartment all day, and boy is it stressful! My Dad has been very supportive, and helpful as I've tried not to have a melt down. I have a hopeful place picked out, and should find out pretty soon if I can get it. The members of the Church here that I have been in contact with are amazing! I am so blessed, and I really feel like I am just being led by someone who knows a whole lot more than I do. In the end, I'm just so glad to be here. It's all worth the experience that I know I'm going to have. Mom and Jenna are flying in tomorrow, and I'm sure that will mean we'll have twice the adventure! I'll be posting pictures of my journey here soon. I sure hope everything goes well tomorrow!!

Alaska, here I come!

Good news :) I know how I am getting to Alaska!! My dad and I are driving in my NEW CAR! Mom and Jenna are flying up once we get there. They will spend a couple days with me in Anchorage, and we are going to do a lot of exploring! Hopefully we'll be able to do some pretty fun things. Once they leave, I will start work. I have no idea what all that entails, but I can't wait! May 21st cannot come fast enough!

Here is my car!! This is a 2012 Honda CR-V. I bought it from the Honda dealership in Pocatello, and was very impressed with their service. They really worked with me to get the price that I wanted, and I left a very satisfied customer. I would recommend them to anyone.

Well, I can't believe that it's all coming together! Let the countdown begin! I've got 17 days till I leave!
